Arsenal vs Sunderland
My name is Jack and I am writing about Arsenal's opening game against Sunderland, I hope you enjoy it!
Goals
Arsenal ended in a disappointing draw against Sunderland but not all was that bad, because we had possession for most of the game. And we had between 13-20 shots and 4-0 on target. We also had 5 corners and Sunderland had none.
Newcomers
Lukas Podolski is one of the newcomers this year and he played his very first game at home for Arsenal today against Sunderland. He is 27 years old and has already played for 2 clubs. Lukas was on top form in 2006, when he scored 51 goals in just 85 games for Bayern Munich. You may also have seen him in the German team in the Euros.
More information
Arsenal played in their normal 1,4,3,3 formation with,
1. Szezesny (GK)
25. Jenkinson (DF)
5. Vermanden (DF)
28. Gibbs (DF)
3. Sagna (DF)
83. Arteta (RM)
23. Arshavin (LM)
19. Cazorla (CF)
14. Walcott (RF)
27. Gervinho (LF)
9. Podolski (ST)
Podolski and Cazorla recently started their career for Arsenal, but unfortunately Podolski was taken off in the 2nd half for another new comer Olivier Giroud. He also properly kicked off his career yesterday against Sunderland but Cazorla was the best out of the three or the best on the pitch because he got Man of the Match. Sadly one of the best players for Arsenal, Alex Song, left to go to Barcelona for 15m so with Robin and Song gone...How will Arsenal do this season?
