Arsenal v Swansea Mascot - 10/09/11

All Team JGs and Young Guns have the chance to be a mascot where they get to meet the team and lead them out before the game! But for our last match, Ben Thomas aged nine from Wombourne in the West Midlands led the team out to victory against Swansea.

Ben tells us that he's been avid Arsenal fan pretty much his whole life after being christened in an Arsenal kit! And what's more, his middle name is Ian after our goalscoring legend Ian Wright!

With football being his favourite hobby, he spends most of his time either watching or playing it. But Ben also likes to play with his favourite Lego toys and his Nintendo DS when he's not got a ball at his feet or in his sights.

Ben certainly proved to be a lucky mascot on the day as he walked out alongside his favourite player, Robin van Persie. And he was sure to be cheering loudly as Andrey Arshavin bagged the goal that sent us on to three points.
