Arsenal v Sunderland Mascot - 16/10/2011

All Team JGs and Young Guns have the chance to be a mascot where they get to meet the team and lead them out before the game! But for our last match, Scott aged nine from Harpenden in Hertfordshire was our lucky mascot as the team grabbed a vital three points at home to Sunderland.

Scott was there to greet the players off the coach as soon as they arrived and was even lucky enough to spend some time with them and get his shirt signed as they relaxed before kick-off. But, like the players, Scott was eager to step out onto the famous Emirates pitch and show off his skills as he joined his heroes for the pre-match warm-up, before leading them out of the tunnel and onto glory for a pulsating 90 minutes of Premier League football.

As a keen footballer himself, Scott plays every weekend for his local team Harpenden Colts and takes inspiration from his favourite players Robin van Persie and Jack Wilshere. When he’s not on the football pitch Scott also likes to swim and ride his bike.

Having been there to see one of his favourite players score two match-winning goals and make history in the process by scoring Arsenal’s fastest ever Premier League goal, I’m sure Scott is feeling more inspired than ever following an unforgettable day.

Check out his photos below to see who he met and what he got up to!
