Charlie Williams enjoyed an interesting life.
For the goalkeeper, a professional career beginning at Arsenal and finishing in Brazil via France was perhaps not the plan. But nonetheless, that is what happened.

Williams was just 18 years old when he joined Arsenal in 1891, going on to sign professional forms in June 1893.
He made his debut in a 1-0 FA Cup defeat to Sunderland in January 1893, and made a total of 23 starts for the Club.
Manchester City signed the keeper in June 1894, where he went on to win both club and Football League honours.
He later featured for Tottenham, Norwich City and Brentford before retiring and managing the French outfit, Lille.
Williams moved to Brazil to coach in 1911 before his death in South America in 1952.
