Jack Wilkinson arrived at Highbury from Witton Albion in October 1953.
A prolific centre forward in non-competitive fixtures, he managed just a solitary league appearance for Arsenal in his three-year spell.

Wilkinson had enjoyed success in the London Combination league with 39 goals in 69 appearances, hitting eight goals in as many matches in the FA Challenge Cup too.
But ultimately things just did not quite work out for the Cheshire-born striker. His only senior Arsenal appearance came in a 1-1 draw against Leicester City in February 1955.
He later transferred to Sheffield United for £5,000 in February 1956, before eventually becoming a successful bowls player in the North West after his retirement.
