Harry White

Harry White was a man of many talents, eventually proving as adept on the cricket field as he was on the football pitch.

White featured in an England trial match while with Brentford in 1919 before Arsenal secured his services later that year.

It was not long before a league debut arrived as White started in a 1-0 defeat at Newcastle on the opening day of the 1919/20 season. 

And White was an ever-present in his first three campaigns for Arsenal, scoring 39 goals in 90 league appearances over that period.  

He was a force up front in all competitions during his time in north London, finding the net on a regular basis in friendly fixtures too.

White earned London FA Challenge Cup honours in 1921/22, won the Southend Hospital Cup twice in succession and completed a 1920/21 'double' with the Metropolitan Hospital Cup. 

Eventually going on to make 109 starts for Arsenal, White played his final match for the Club in a 1-0 defeat to Everton in November 1922, before moving to Blackpool in March 1923.
