Gordon Nutt

Gordon Nutt's five-year Arsenal career couldn't have got off to a much worse start. Just three games after joining the Gunners from Cardiff City, he cracked his shin bone at Everton.
Three months later the left winger returned to the side but his impact was limited. He made just seven appearances between January 1955 and October 1957 but featured heavily in 1958.
That February he contributed two assists in a 5-4 defeat to Manchester United - in the Busby Babes' last game on English soil before the Munich Disaster - and netted in a 4-4 draw against Tottenham.
Ten goals in 51 appearances is an impressive return, but Nutt's contribution was inconsistent. For much of his time at Highbury he was confined to the Reserves and in 1960 he moved to Southend United.
