Steve Morrow

Defender Steve Morrow arrived at Arsenal as a schoolboy in 1984 and spent 10 years as a professional at the Club between 1987 and 1997. However, he will perhaps be best remembered for a bizarre accident at the end of the 1993 League Cup Final.
 
Steve scored the winning goal as the Gunners beat Sheffield Wednesday 2-1 at Wembley. But as the team paraded around the pitch with the trophy after the game. Steve fell from the shoulders of captain Tony Adams, breaking his arm.

The accident ended Morrow's season but he did become the first man to receive a winner's medal before an FA Cup Final, collecting his League Cup honour from the Royal Box in May 1993 before Arsenal and Wednesday locked horns again.
 
Steve had arrived at Arsenal aged 14 but didn't make his first-team debut until the age of 21. Before that, he'd enjoyed a loan spell at Reading and had even made his international debut for Northern Ireland, for whom he earned 39 caps, before earning his senior Arsenal debut.
 
Steve went on to make 85 appearances for the Gunners, scoring three goals along the way. He left Arsenal to join QPR in March 1997 before continuing to Dallas Burn, who he later managed. He is currently International Partnerships Performance Supervisor at Arsenal.
