Defender Pal Lydersen made 16 appearances during a three-and-a-half-year stint at Arsenal in the early 90s.

The Norwegian international signed for George Graham's Gunners in November 1991 and enjoyed his first run in the side the following Spring, deputising for injured right back Lee Dixon.

His second spell in the team came in December 1992, when Arsenal suffered a miserable winter. The Gunners only managed one goal and two points that month, eventually finishing 10th in the first season of the new Premier League.

Lydersen wouldn't manage successive appearances again before rejoining home-town club IK Start in 1995 after a loan spell with the club from which he had originally moved to Arsenal.

His career would later take him to Sturm Graz in Austria and Norwegian Premier League outfit Molde, where he retired in 1999.
