Arsenal's first and only Japanese player.
Junichi Inamoto moved to Highbury in the summer of 2001 and was at the Club when Arsène Wenger led Arsenal to the Double less than a year later.
However, Inamoto played just three times that season and did not appear at all in the Premier League.
He made his debut – like so many Arsenal youngsters – in the Carling Cup, starting ties against Grimsby and Blackburn Rovers.
Inamoto also made an appearance in the Champions League, coming on as a substitute in the 4-1 victory over Bayer Leverkusen at Highbury.
The hard-working midfielder impressed at the World Cup Finals in his homeland in 2002 but he had no future at Arsenal.
Inamoto moved on to Fulham and had moderate success there before plying his trade on the continent in Turkey, Germany and France.
