Frank Dyer was a versatile player who joined Arsenal from West Bromwich Albion in the summer of 1892.
Dyer could operate at left-half or full back and made his first senior appearance against Highland Light Infantry in the FA Cup in October 1892.

The Glasgow-born defender made the last of his five appearances in the same competition at Sunderland in January 1893.
Dyer did feature in senior friendlies for Arsenal later that year - including a home fixture with Derby - but his spell in London was short-lived. He was transferred to Manchester City in August 1893 and retired five years later.
