Versatile Republic of Ireland international right back John Devine was capped eight times while at Arsenal.
A former apprentice at Highbury, he turned professional in October 1976 and made his league debut in the Gunners' 3-1 victory at Leeds United in April 1978.

He played for Arsenal in the 1980 FA Cup final and succeeded Pat Rice in defence, making 89 First Division appearances before joining Norwich City in August 1983.
Moving to Stoke City in November 1985, he played in Norway, then for Shamrock Rovers and Indian side East Bengal Club.
