Football has often been the excuse for many of my ventures abroad and consequently I have visited a variety of destinations down the years.
But nothing compares with our final city of the tour. It is a simply incredible place.
From the moment we arrived our feet haven't touched the ground.
Joining up with some ex-pat Gooner friends from this part of the world we headed for the Lan Kwai Fong area of the city, a crazy and hedonistic mix of restaurants, bars and clubs and being Saturday night the place was banging!
Sundays back in the UK are often described as the day of rest. Initially that was no different for us and boy was it welcome.
A lazy lunch set us up for the game, the walk from our base in Wanchai totally emphasising the amount of Gooners in this part of the world, as with every other part of the tour.
The streets were awash with red and white, an almost humbling sight before we entered the fantastic Hong Kong Stadium - atmospheric, with a great viewing position and a stunning location.
The game proved both competitive and entertaining and in the heat quite exhausting I would imagine, all part of the fitness plans at this stage of proceedings.
There were a couple of goals to take home and a great experience for all of us.
Leaving the stadium and heading back into the city there were high-rise towers aplenty, neon lights and Arsenal shirts, once again a sight that brought a smile to the face.
The heat, of course, is thirsty and energy-sapping work so food and drink were on the agenda as this season's awesome pre-season Asia adventure draws to a close.
I spend another couple of days in this incredible place before returning to reality and next weekend's trip to Cologne.
Thanks Hong Kong, it's been marvellous.
