In probably eight of our ten visits to this wonderful part of the world we have been lucky enough to enjoy sensational weather. This year is no different.
Last night in Graz it was blistering, an adjective that could be used to describe many aspects of our performance.
The day began with a typical Stubbsy city tour, always pleasant in such a beautiful city and ensuring a suitable thirst for quenching in the pre-match build up.
In the usual manner Gooners gathered in a bar near the stadium well before kick-off, countries such as Austria, Italy, Croatia, Serbia, Slovakia, Hungary and Slovenia among others being represented in the red, white and yellow.
Such an international mix of people guarantees fantastic conversation and entertainment; the game, performance and result was the icing on the cake. Three great goals and plenty of singing (in various languages!) made it a thoroughly enjoyable evening.
Talking of singing, pictorial evidence this morning suggests a karaoke appearance in the early hours. If I'm honest however, things got that messy I don't remember much past about 10 o'clock!
Time for a dip ;-)
