It's only when you visit these small towns on the pre-season tour that you realise how much of carnival feel there is when Arsenal arrive.
Yesterday in Neusiedl am See was exactly such an occasion. With just one permanent stand the ground found itself packed to the rafters with over 5,000 people, the majority locals but as always many Gooners from far and wide too.
The game itself gave us four more goals to enjoy and another clean sheet, thanks largely to the fact Vito saved a ridiculously-awarded second-half penalty.
The carnival then dispersed and we enjoyed our last late-night refreshment of this year's 10th anniversary tour.
All that remains is my flight home before our minds turn to a whole different kind of occasion in the shape of the Emirates Cup.
See you there!
