Our first ever visit seems a long long time ago now! Little did we know that a full ten years later we would still be enjoying the facilities and wonderful hospitality provided by our great friends from Austria.
Many Gooners travel to the pre-season camp these days, from countries far and wide, and it has become a group that have become more and more close-knit as the years have rolled by. Some come and go, some have joined over the period and some are no longer with us of course, but their attendance and company will live forever in our memories.
Tonight sees my latest personal adventure commence with a flight to Vienna and a journey south across the country to Graz in time for tomorrow's encounter with Sturm.
A club that have regularly played in the Champions League, it will be one of the few occasions where we play in a larger stadium at this stage of pre-season. It remains to be seen just what kind of game we get to see.
Looking over the last nine years however, there is no doubt whatsoever that pre- and post-match proceedings will be thoroughly entertaining!
A full run-down to come...
