Versatile defender Martin left Arsenal in 2013 after making two appearances for the English club.

The tall centre back started his career at Swiss clubs Grasshoppers and Zurich before joining Arsenal in 2010 to feature regularly for their second string.

Martin made his first-team debut two seasons later, against Coventry City in the league cup, before he appeared in the Champions League against Olympiacos as an 83rd-minute substitute.

Throughout his time at Arsenal, the defender represented his country at under-16, under-17, under-18 and under-19 level. 

Martin trained with Arsenal's first team regularly but never broke through to feature in the Premier League before leaving for 1. FC Nuremberg on a free transfer in 2013.
