Due to planned engineering works it will be necessary to close the Piccadilly Line from Cockfosters to Arnos Grove over the weekend of August 19 and 20. This may therefore cause disruption to some supporters travelling to the opening game at Emirates Stadium against Aston Villa.
While this closure will not interfere with the main routes and stations to the stadium, it is a concern for the people attending the game who park their cars at Cockfosters car park, and travel southbound down the Piccadilly line.
This may prove difficult for the opening weekend of the Premiership season as there is only a rail replacement bus operating between Cockfosters and Arnos which may struggle to accommodate the increased 'park and ride' traffic.
The bus replacement service will operate every eight minutes from Cockfosters to Wood Green. There will also be an eight-minute frequency service from Southgate to Wood Green.
Supporters should check their planned route before travelling to the game. Please visit www.tfl.gov.uk for more information.Copyright 2015 The Arsenal Football Club plc.
