Alexander Pato marked his international debut with the only goal of the game as Brazil beat Sweden in the third international friendly to be held at Emirates Stadium.
The Milan striker - shackled by the Arsenal defence on his last visit to this ground - needed just 12 minutes to make an impact after replacing Luis Fabiano on the hour mark.
The 18-year-old capitalised on an error from former Arsenal goalkeeper Rami Shaaban to finally break down Sweden. Shaaban charged out of his area to clear the ball in the left-back position but fired the ball straight at Pato. The Brazilian turned and lofted into the net from a tight angle.
It was the highlight of an evenly-matched encounter which marked the 50th anniversary of the 1958 World Cup Final when two goals from the 17-year-old Pele helped Brazil beat Sweden 5-2.
A goalfest never looked on the cards this time as Brazil struggled without the invention of Ronaldinho and Kaka. Sweden looked brighter but Markus Rosenberg spurned their best opening.
Diego was off target for Brazil with a series of long-range efforts while Julio Baptista, who spent last season on loan at Emirates Stadium, went close with a 25-yard free-kick.
A stalemate seemed increasingly likely until Pato entered the fray. Then the Milan teenager showed just why he is regarded as one of Brazil's most exciting young talents.
