Reserves Week continues on Arsenal.com with a round-up of the loan deals involving the Club's players last season. Read on to find out how Arsenal's youngsters fared away from Highbury.
DAVID BENTLEY
David Bentley spent the whole season on loan at Norwich City. He
played in 28 games and scored two goals, including a long-range
effort against Newcastle. Bentley suffered medial knee ligament
damage playing in the FA Cup Third Round against West Ham in
January and didn't return to action until April. Norwich
finished 19th in the Premiership and were relegated on the final
day.
JERMAINE PENNANT
Jermaine went on loan to Birmingham City in January before a
permanent move was completed in April. He played 12 games for the
Blues last season as Steve Bruce's side finished in 12th place
in the Premiership.
JOHN SPICER
John went out on loan to Bournemouth from September to December
before signing permanently for the Cherries. He made 47 appearances
and scored seven goals last season, helping the South Coast side to
an eighth-place finish in League One.
STUART TAYLOR
Stuart spent two months on loan with Championship side Leicester
City from November to January. The former England Under-21
goalkeeper made 10 appearances and kept four clean sheets before
returning to North London.
FRANKIE SIMEK
Frankie had two spells away from Arsenal last season. The American
spent a month with Queen's Park Rangers from October to
November and then headed to Bournemouth at the end of March for the
rest of the campaign. He made five appearances for QPR and eight
more for the Cherries alongside former team-mate John Spicer.
Frankie will be released by Arsenal when his contract expires this
summer.
DANIEL KARBASSIYOON
Danny was loaned out to Ipswich from December to March. He made six
appearances, his final one coming in a 2-1 win over Leicester on
February 12. Danny will be released by Arsenal when his contract
expires this summer.
JORDAN FOWLER
Jordan spent two months on loan with Chesterfield from January to
March. He made six appearances and was sent off in his third match.
Jordan will be released by Arsenal when his contract expires this
summer.
ADAM BIRCHALL
Adam spent the first three months of the season on loan with
Wycombe Wanderers. He made 15 appearances and scored five goals,
his final strike coming in the LDV Vans Trophy Second Round victory
over Swansea in November. Adam will be released by Arsenal when his
contract expires this summer.
GRAHAM STACK
Graham was loaned out to Millwall for the entire season. The young
goalkeeper made 26 appearances, kept seven clean sheets and helped
Millwall to a 10th place finish in the Championship.season.
SEBASTIAN SVARD
Sebastian spent the campaign on loan with Brondby in his native
Denmark. He made 21 appearances and helped Michael Laudrup's
side win the Danish League and Cup double.
