Banfield on...the performance
"I think in the first half we were lucky not to come off at 4-1 [down]. I thought Mart Poom was outstanding and kept us in the game. One or two of the players I think were one - feeling sorry for themselves and two - still on the plane back from [the youth tournament in] Mexico."

Banfield on...changing the game
"They got a bit of a livener at half-time and I told them the fundamentals of football. They've gone out in the second half and, for a young team, ending with four 15/16 year-olds, to win 4-1, I think they've done excellently."

Banfield on...Mart Poom
"I think it was a team performance. I can't speak highly enough of Mart Poom in the way he is around the place and as a professional for his trade, he's outstanding."

Banfield on...the strikers
"I think Arturo worked extremely hard tonight, Quincy battled on for us in the second half despite not being well so I think there was a lot of character shown tonight which is a big part of being a top player."

Banfield on...Jay Simpson
"He's twisted an ankle so Jay had to come off so we put on Marc Elston. But you've got to realise, some of these lads have flown 23 hours and had five games last week in five days at altitude. They turned up on Sunday morning and played tonight for the reserves - I think they're a credit themselves and to the Club."

Banfield on...Patrick Cregg's departure
"He served us really well and played really well for us. I'd like to wish him all the best up at Falkirk."
