Following the news that Jermaine Pennant has extended his spell at Leeds United until the end of the season, here's an update on all the Arsenal players currently out on loan.
FRANCIS JEFFERS
Everton
Francis is on loan at Goodison Park until the end of the season.
The young striker, who scored on his debut for England last year,
has made 21 appearances for the Toffees since heading back to
Merseyside in August. Francis has scored two goals - both against
Fulham - and was a substitute when Arsenal drew 1-1 at Everton in
January.
JERMAINE PENNANT
Leeds United
Jermaine will remain on loan at Elland Road until the end of the
season. The England Under-21 winger has made 32 appearances for the
Yorkshire club in 2003/04 and scored one goal, a cracker against
Chelsea. Jermaine has been on the losing side twice against Arsenal
this season - the 4-1 FA Cup defeat in January and the 5-0
Premiership defeat last Friday.
GIOVANNI VAN BRONCKHORST
Barcelona
Gio has made 28 appearances for Barcelona in the Primera Liga this
season. He's been a regular at left-back and has helped the
Catalan club put together an unbeaten run of 11 games which has
propelled them up to third place in the table. Gio has yet to score
for Barcelona and is due back at Highbury at the end of the
campaign.
LIAM CHILVERS
Colchester United
Liam has been a regular in Colchester's defence this season,
making 45 appearances for the U's. The 22-year-old helped
Colchester reach the Southern Final of the LDV Vans Trophy, where
they lost on aggregate to Southend. Liam played in the 3-1 win over
Division One side Coventry which took Colchester into the fifth
round of the FA Cup. He is due back at Arsenal at the end of the
season.
SEBASTIAN SVARD
Stoke City
Sebastian spent the first half of the season on loan at FC
Copenhagen in his native Denmark, but he moved to Stoke City at the
turn of the year. Since then Sebastian has made 11 appearances for
the Division One club and scored his solitary goal in a 1-1 draw
against Sunderland at the Stadium of Light.
NICKY NICOLAU
Southend United

joining them on loan in March. The Shrimpers have lost just one of
the five games Nicky has featured in. He is due back at Highbury at
the end of the season.
IGORS STEPANOVS
Beveren
Igors has spent the season on loan at Beveren. He has been a

Lille
After three appearances for the first team in the Carling Cup,
Stathis headed to Lille in the New Year to spend the rest of the
season on loan. He has started 12 games for Lille so far and helped
them towards a mid-table finish in the French League.
